The fine print, made clear
Cancellation Policy
Plans change. If you need to cancel, you can — and you will receive a travel credit toward a future stay. What we cannot do is give cash back: the points are already committed. How much credit you receive depends on how early you tell us.
Travel credit timetable
Based on when your cancellation request reaches us in writing — not when you decide, and not when we process it. Every day you wait can cost you a tier.
| Cancellation request | Travel credit amount |
|---|---|
| 60 days – 11 months prior to check-in | 75% travel credit |
| 32 – 59 days prior to check-in | 50% travel credit |
| 5 – 31 days prior to check-in | 25% travel credit |
| 0 – 4 days prior to check-in | No travel credit given |
Travel credits are issued within 72 hours of approval and are valid for 2 years from the date of issue.
Cancel any time — for any reason
You do not have to explain yourself. Email us and we will process your travel credit on the timetable above. Cancel earlier and you keep more.
Credit, not cash
When we book your stay, a DVC member commits their points to it and those points cannot be returned to them. So payments are non-refundable — but they are not lost: they become a credit toward a future stay.
Why prices are so low
This structure is exactly what lets you save 30–50% versus Disney rack rates. Members can commit their points with confidence, and the savings are passed straight to you.
How to cancel
Your credit tier is set by the day your request reaches us, so start it as soon as you know.
- 1
Email us — that is the only way to start
Cancellation requests must come by email. Phone calls, text messages and Facebook messages are not accepted and do not start the clock.
- 2
Wait for our written confirmation
Your request is not official until you receive an email from us confirming it has been received and is being processed. If you have not heard from us within 24 hours, please follow up — do not assume it went through.
- 3
We confirm your credit amount
Once the request is approved we advise the travel-credit amount from the timetable above, based on when the request was received.
- 4
Your credit is issued within 72 hours
The travel credit is processed within 72 hours of approval and is valid for 2 years from the date of issue.
What the travel credit does not cover
We would rather you read this now than discover it later.
- The credit covers the room only. Park tickets, tours, transportation, dining plans and dining reservations are not covered.
- No refund or travel credit is given, and rescheduling is not permitted, for events outside our control — including hurricanes, tornadoes, snowstorms, pandemics, resort or park closures, and acts of terrorism. Disney may make exceptions for guests who booked directly with Disney; those exceptions do not extend to a rental.
- Cancellations requested within 4 days of check-in receive nothing. All sales are final at that point.
- Checking in late or checking out early does not entitle you to a refund or a travel credit.
- Any change to a confirmed reservation — the lead guest name, travel dates, villa category, or resort — counts as a cancellation of the original reservation and is subject to the timetable above. The replacement is treated as a brand-new booking.
- Dining-plan cancellations must reach us at least 7 days before check-in. We have to ask the DVC member to cancel it with Disney, so we cannot guarantee it will be cancelled and refunded before you arrive.
Want cash back instead of a credit?
A travel credit is not the same as insurance. For cover against the events above — and for a cash refund rather than a credit — add a third-party policy that covers non-refundable travel.
