The fine print, made clear
Cancellation Policy
DVC point rentals are confirmed reservations and are non-refundable. Here is why — and how to protect your trip.
Non-refundable
Once we book your reservation, the DVC member commits their points to your stay. Those points cannot be returned, so deposits and rental payments are non-refundable and reservations cannot be changed or canceled.
Why prices are so low
The non-refundable structure is exactly what lets you save 30–50% versus Disney rack rates. Members can confidently commit their points, and those savings are passed directly to you.
Protect your trip
Because plans can change, we strongly recommend travel insurance that covers non-refundable travel. It is an affordable way to safeguard your investment against the unexpected.
What this means for your booking
When you reserve a DVC point rental, you are agreeing to a confirmed, non-refundable reservation. After your deposit is placed and the reservation is booked in your name:
- The reservation cannot be canceled for a refund.
- Dates, resort, and room type cannot be changed once confirmed.
- No-shows and early departures are not eligible for refunds.
- Disney's standard resort policies apply to your stay on arrival.
These terms are spelled out in full in your rental agreement. We encourage you to read a sample before you book so there are no surprises.
